The Adventist Men Organization is a department within the church that is concerned with the nurturing of men for the service to God, family and the community. JKUSDA church has a membership of about 250-300 men, majority being youths in the age below 25 years
Every person must face the practical realities of life--its opportunities, its responsibilities, its defeats, and its successes. How he is to meet these experiences, whether he is to become master or victim of circumstances, depends largely upon his preparation to cope with them--his education……... True education means more than pursuing a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come. {Ed 13.1}
. OUR OBJECTIVE
The church manual (2010), http://www.adventist.org/ChurchManual_2010.pdf , page 100 and 101 gives a clear role of the Youth ministries in the church. “Youth are to work together in development of a strong youth ministry that includes spiritual, mental, and physical development of each individual, Christian social interaction, and an active witnessing program that supports the general soul-winning plans of the church. The goal of AYS should be to involve all youth in activities that will tie them closer to the church and train them for Christian service.”
We always like to identify ourselves with the objectives outlined in the Youth ministries as stated in the church manual. The bottom line in Adventist Men Organization is to be able to get men into small groups, meeting together regularly, ideally on a weekly basis. Men's ministry is about building relationships with God and other men.
